10 Days of Korea Part 2

Day 3 at Namdaemun, Myeongdong and Dongdaemun!

Banana milk for breakfast~

What you can find in the subway

Top of Shinsegae (Korean version of Takashimaya)

Gamjatang~~~ :D
Pork bone soup made with pork spine, potatos and shitloads of spices that blend together to make this wholesome soup. Super good for cold days.

MYEONGDONG!!!
And that's Weilin withThor and Captain America statues

Street food for dinner at Dongdaemun with a Jap girl staying at the house. The host asked if she could tag along because it is dangerous to go to DDM at night and she's really young (16 and travelling alone!!! Ok she's actually here to study but yeah.)

Day 4 at Apgujeong (SMTown, Cube Cafe, JYP)

Dear god we walked so far from the Apgujeong subway station to find these three buildings. It's at least a 20 minute walk and there are no road signs in Korea si beh hard to find the place gah. But yay.

Best. Samgyupsal (pork belly). Ever. Really. Everything else now just tastes MEH.
I miss it T_T

Day 5 at Gayang (SBS Inkigayo) and Noryangjin Market!

Woke up at the crack of dawn to head to Inkigayo because we wanted to watch Teen Top and other idols perform *_* Breakfast is from Paris Baguette Cafe ^^

It was super crowded T_T
Got ushered in to watch Fiestar's debut performance when we asked the security person where Teen Top's fans were -_- BUT they were so good!!!! AND PRETTY!!!!

And after that we found the Teen Top fans, wrote down our names and basically waited for a few hours. Had soondae at JAWS and Baskin Robbins which was in the mall across the road. There were a lot of Japanese tourists and angmoh tourists. :O Kpop is really getting out there man.

Soon dae is pig's intestines stuffed with glutinous rice and blood. :P It's good!!!

Very far behind BUT IT'S OKAY BECAUSE WE STILL GOT TO SEE TEEN TOP!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

We also saw IU, NU'EST, Tasty, Exid, AoA, D-Unit and PSY!!!!!!!!!!!
I WATCHED PSY PERFORM GANGNAM STYLE LIVE. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The finale was IU and PSY dancing Gangnam Style together. FANTASTIC DAYYYYYYYYYY.

Headed to Noryangjing Market to meet Weilin (who was shopping at DDM) for dinner ^_^

Does anyone know what that naked sea cucumber thingy is? I vaguely remember it to be native to Korea...and that's all I know.

WE ATE LIVE OCTOPUS AND IT WAS SO DELICIOUS.
Got 3 small ones for 10 000 won total. ^^
Medium sized ones are 10 000 for two and the large ones are 10 000 each.

HUGE ASS PALM SIZED PRAWNS (it's actually medium sized compared to the rest wtf the truly huge ones were too expensive) THAT ARE SUPER JUICY.
Medium sized prawns are 8000 won total.

Meet our good friend the super delicious and fat lobster we got for 50 000 won which is not that cheap but it's reasonable for a lobster that size wtf. In SG it'll probably cost $80? Or something.

My cute friends ^^

Spent 113 100 won (SGD $127) on everything. The ahjummas selling you the live seafood will usher you upstairs to one of the 8 restaurants where they will prepare your food at 6000 won I think depending on if you want it BBQ or steamed. Then add another 9000 won per head. So the restaurant price is15 000 won on top of whatever seafood you bought. Yay!

Headed to Myeongdong to get GONG CHA LOL. And then we walked home because we lived 15 mins away~ Passed by this gigantic church otw.

Day 6 at Namsan Tower and Myeongdong (again!)

Woke up pretty early to go to Namsan Tower!!!

Met a super cute baby on the cable car ride up Namsan ^^

Left our polaroids at the love locks area~
IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE THERE PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR US JUSEYO!!!!!!! Hahaha.

Went up to the top~ The toilet was very pretty hahaha.

PEEING ON THE TOP OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!

Passed by this wishing well thing and paid 500 won to get two shots and both Livia and I FAILED. Anyway walked to Myeongdong afterwards~ ^_^

'

Passed by a man in a cat suit promoting a cat cafe WTF so I abandoned Livia and Weilin and went to look around. Entrance fee is 8000 won. The place smelled super nice haha and you get a free drink...yay. The cats were all super soft and cuddly but you're not supposed to pick them up.
There'll be attendants who'll explain to you la hahaha the different coloured scarves represent their mood/well-being!

Heard there was a dog cafe nearby so we went there also wtf hahaha. Entrance fee is also 8000 won.

Very cute hor??? The dogs only care about their owners and food T_T And the place is smelly.
Very very entertaining to watch them play though.

Dinner is lemonade soda in the super cute ziplock satchets (AS SEEN ON TUMBLR!!!) and skewered meat nomnomnom.
